Beyond the Walls is a Community Arts and Cultural Development (CACD) dance project, designed to positively empower culturally diverse, at-risk young people in custody in Sydney.
In May and June of 2019, project participants developed a performance and choreographed professional dancers to carry out their artistic visions. Performances were presented by these professional dancers, both inside the JJCs and ‘beyond the walls’, in community.
