Phunktional’s Artistic Director Gerard Veltre worked with acclaimed professional dancers and performers for Nexus to develop a season of short dance and movement pieces that cross artistic genres and disciplines. Featured artists for the season include Australia’s leading culturally diverse dance company, Tony Yap Company, acclaimed international Flamenco dancer Tomas Arroquero, Circus Oz performer Rockie Stone, Indigenous dancer and performer Jacob Boehme, dancer/choreographer Carlee Mellow and members of Queensland’s Aboriginal Centre for the Performing Arts.
